Students in Coach Brown’s Physics class had a fun time defying gravity with their “Egg Drop” project! Students built "egg-protector's" to see if they could drop their egg from various heights and keep it from breaking. Many students succeeded....while others realized that they didn't build enough protection for their egg.

We are so proud of Fernando Lopez representing Carrollton High School and RA-LIN so well! He won the AGC Carpentry Skills Challenge over students from 11 different high schools! Way to go Fernando!
Teachers were given a demonstration of the Virtual Reality Goggles that we have at CHS during our November Faculty Meeting. We want our teachers to feel comfortable using this piece of equipment and understand all that it has to offer their students and their curriculum. Georgia Power education representative Lorrie Wallace came to share job opportunities and sustainable renewable energy activities with Mr Hawig’s Environmental Science and Ecology class. ELL students were able to fully engage in the instruction and are eager to consider the bonus earnings offered to dual language employees! Teachers at CHS attended our 2nd "Lunch and Learn" this school year. Mr. Jared Price presented to the teachers about "Epic Tools for the Classroom". This presentation was great for our teachers and will keep them updated on the latest and greatest "Tech Tools" available to them and their students.
Students in Mr. Blakemore's Computer Science class created "Quick Sight Words" and "Trojan Quick Math" as an App for students. These sight words and math problems are available on iTunes and can be downloaded from the App Store. What a cool activity for his students!
