Computer Science at Carrollton High School
Mr. Robby Blakemore facilitates the Computer Science program at Carrollton High School. These classes include Intro to Digital Technology, AP Computer Science Principles, AP Computer Science A and Programming, Games and Apps in Society. Throughout this pathway students will learn how to apply programming skills and computational thinking to authentic problems. We create a variety of artifacts including mobile apps, games, SnapChat filters, 3D models and new technology as it emerges. The pathway ends with the Microsoft Technology Associate Exam in Software Development. Students that pass the exam will earn their certificate.
"My goal, as a teacher, is to give students the opportunity to create meaningful artifacts that can be used to solve problems. Whether we are making apps to help the community or Snapchat Filters to increase school spirit, I always want students applying what they learn to the world around them."
