Stream Professional Development
Standard 6: Educators And Leaders Participate In An Ongoing System Of STEM-Specific Professional Learning.
Professional learning and development has been a primary focus of the STREAM initiative as leaders in the stream restoration field have volunteered to train others at multiple training sessions over the years beginning in 2015. Prior the 2020 World-Wide Pandemic, three professional learning days were held each semester (fall and spring) for 2018 and 2019. Multiple teachers were sent for real world training alongside professional engineers with a variety of industry backgrounds. These teachers then became curriculum developers and leaders within the four schools of the Carrollton City School district.
