The CHS RALIN Academy students have been busy prefabricating a Jobsite office trailer porch and step units which will double as the class Homecoming float.
The class has also started preparing for an upcoming Skills Challenge hosted by the AGC and Cedartown High School. We will compete against 11 other Northwest Ga High and Trade schools in the carpentry, masonry, and blueprint reading events. Our Freshmen and Sophomore "Intro to Construction" class has learned construction safety, industry organization, construction company organization, and basic carpentry skills. The class has constructed a bench outside Mrs. Austin's room and will soon complete an outside table at Mrs. Dill's cafe. These projects have allowed students to get outside and make some sawdust and lots of noise. The Tools for Life class has covered topics ranging from knot tying, tie tying, first aid, map reading, compass skills, identity protection, tire changing to checking one's car's tire pressure and oil level. They are learning something new every day. These classes are led by Mr. Chris Stone and we are so thankful to have his expertise here at Carrollton High School! Check out our CHS students during their first day on the floor at
