When CHS entered its first international ROV competition in 2008, it placed 16th in the world. Most years since, the team has finished in the top 10 internationally. The team reached its highest point to date in 2011 by placing third. The CHS team is named InnovOcean and is sponsored and coached by Mrs. Kristie Bradford-Hunt, a science teacher at CHS. While at Gray’s Reef, Dorothy Szymkiewicz and Daniel Kuntz, members of the CHS InnovOcean team were interviewed for the Georgia Public Broadcasting radio program, “On Second Thought.” To listen to the interview, click HERE.
Five additional teams from Carrollton Middle School and Carrollton Junior High School also competed in the competition in Savannah. Congratulations to all of the CCS ROV Teams!
