Welcome!
At Carrollton High School, we embrace the importance of integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in the lives of our students. It is imperative that we continue to produce students who are prepared for college or career when they leave Carrollton High School. Preparing our students by infusing STEM into the curriculum throughout our school has allowed our students to gain a better understanding of the opportunities out there in a STEM pipeline that are unfilled.

We want STEM education in our school to mirror what is really occurring in STEM careers. Too many schools have struggled to do away with “old school” ways of teaching and evolving into 21st Century classrooms that prepare their students for the next phase after high school. Memorization and fact-finding have gone the way of the dinosaur in exchange for classrooms that promote inquiry-based learning and encourage students to take ownership of their education.
At Carrollton, we want all of our students to have the opportunity to participate in STEM activities if they desire to and have an interest in it. We also want to introduce those students who are unaware of what STEM is about and the opportunities that may arise for a person who pursues a career in a STEM-based discipline. We want to support those who choose to pursue a STEM path and encourage those who do not realize the potential that they have. We want to provide powerful role models for our underrepresented and nontraditional students, and provide activities that are rigorous and relevant to our students’ real-world experiences. The STEM program at Carrollton High School appreciates the efforts of our faculty, students, business partners, and community members who support our mission of nurturing and empowering individuals to be life-long learners who take personal responsibility for improving our world.
